Demoted to Featherweight Division

I made a success of Friday, managing to get to Garlic and Shots for vrghost's birthday dinner and managing to get happily drunk without a hint of Friday zombification. We were but a small crowd of extremely worthy individuals including [in order of appearance] nibber, jequile who is only here for another couple of weeks before her lamented return to Sweden, Georgie, ravenstoker, lpetersson, and morbidfrog who turned up with an army of Italian goblins. We ate and drank a lot and then polished off the parsley. I felt very troll-like after a while but managed to hide it reasonably well.

Synthetic Culture drew away some of our crowd but I stayed on with Ben and Georgie until the bitter end and then went home to wake up far too early the next day.

Saturday was taken up with a shopping errand and the discovery that someone had somehow found out my bank account details and tried to take out all my cash. They didn't succeed as my strictly habitual nature meant that the bank spotted the unusual transactions straight away and froze my account. I have to report all this to the police though. Very little idea how they got my card details but I suspect an inside bank job or the internet is to blame.

This year has been characterised by odd and bizarre things happening to me one after the other in a very steady stream. Am I being trained by the dark powers in crisis management?

Saturday evening looked to be another heavy one but this lightweight fell asleep and missed both Daemonia and Kryptorium. I woke up feeling very refreshed on Sunday though. There is something to be said for being rested and refreshed. I cooked for myself and then wandered off to Greenwich to meet up with nibber and jequile. We had a few drinks and then tried to walk along the Thames back to Surrey Docks although we were foiled for a large part of the way by old factories and warehouses that forced us to walk through Pepys Estate. Not one of London's most up-beat areas.

I'm working today and taking my day off on Thursday. On Thursday I shall fly to Sweden.
